In 2006, Caxton Pang founded Linton Advisory Group in a small one-bedroom apartment, with only $5,000 working capital.
“I knew I needed to work smarter, due to the limited resources I had. And I saw an expectation gap between what SMEs needed apart from the services provided by traditional accounting firms, that was strategic commercial business advice,” Caxton says.
“So I chose to close this gap and within 12 months, my business moved to our current CBD office and started with the hiring of two staff members.”
The business blossomed after only two years with the perfect opportunity arising for an expansion of office space in the vacant space next door.
“I always believed my reputation was my best asset, as I treat everyone with respect and care, and have a genuine interest in their business and personal lives.”
It’s this approach that has seen Caxton become a part of every client’s ‘family’, acting as their strategic business partner.
With a professional and dedicated team of staff members, Linton Advisory Group has evolved into a holistic wealth management firm which specialises in accounting, business consulting, tax, finance, property, SMSF and Insurance.
“I now spend most of my time helping clients to develop their business strategies. Our firm has a base of very smart, energetic and professional staff who make Linton Advisory Group a passionate, proactive and dependable business.”
Caxton credits his wife and his team for much of his success, as they have supported him through his business decision making. “Without the support from my wife and team, my business would not be where it is now”.
“Today, I continue to strive for success and look forward to taking Linton Advisory Group through every milestone in its successful journey.”
Caxton’s passion and vision in the business has earned him the following awards –
- Top 40 Young Business Leader of the Year – 2013 (nominated by the CPA Australia);
- Finalists for the Diversified Firm of the Year – 2015 (nominated by the Australian Accounting Awards); and
- Executive of the Year – 2015 (nominated by the Australian Accounting Awards)
